The Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) Program was created to encourage private sector employers to create jobs and training opportunities for individuals that encounter significant barriers to employment.

WOTC can reduce your federal income tax liability by as much as $9600 per new hire

WOTC Target Group

  1. Disabled Veterans
  2. Unemployed Veterans
  3. Veteran Food Stamp recipients
  4. Long-Term Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) recipients
  5. (SNAP) 18-39 year old Food Stamp recipients
  6. Other TANF recipients
  7. Ex-felons
  8. 18-39 year old DCR/RRC
  9. Vocational Rehab Referrals
  10. SSI Recipients
  11. Long Term Unemployment
  12. 16-17 year old summer youth

Each credit amount is determined by the value of each target group and hours worked

Hurricane and Wild Fire Disaster Assistance – Up To 40% of the first $6,000 in qualified wages per new hire
